Thank you again to everyone in-front-of-the-screens and behind-the-scenes for two more successful sneak peek events—first in Portland back in September, and then in DC in October! Since our very first sneak peek was in Toronto, it was awesome to bring these events stateside as well.
Special thanks to the amazing people with Income Movement, ITSA Foundation, Comingle, and Pale Blue Dot Media for making the Basic Income Mini-Film Festival possible at the PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater (Portland, Oregon). Also, thank you to the filmmakers of Multnomah Mothers’ Trust (a local Portland project), the Nest series, Workers of Art, and It’s Basic for including previews of their projects as part of the event!
Special thanks to the incredible team with Bread for the City and DC Guaranteed Income Coalition for featuring Bootstraps as the third installment of the Demanding Dignity Film Series at the Angelika Film Center (Washington, DC).

Now, it’s your turn to host a Bootstraps screening for the Boots on the Ground National Screening Tour.
If you already know you want to host a screening, submit your screening request here, and we will be in touch when we launch our screenings tour in early 2027!
The tour will bring people from all walks together for community conversations, using the powerful storytelling of the Bootstraps docuseries to introduce UBI in an approachable setting. These events will focus on fostering curiosity and dialogue, and will share opportunities to join the movement and even experience a real basic income.
Anchored by the Bootstraps release and in partnership with organizations at the forefront of UBI, housing, health, and other sectors, the Boots on the Ground Screening Tour will organize free, community-led events nationwide, encouraging real conversations about what UBI might mean for individuals and families both in your own community and across the United States.
